The Mountain Club of Malawi is a social hiking club open to nationals and residents of Malawi.

At the discretion of the club, individuals who are not long-term Malawi residents may also be offered membership. These may include professionals on short-term contracts, visiting professionals, and friends and family of members.

ALL new members must be proposed by an existing member. On joining, new members are inducted by a MCM committee member into the facilities and rules of the club.

Current (2010) annual subscription rates are:
Individual: MKW 1,500
Family (including children up to 15): MKW 2,500

The membership years runs from April and new members joining between January and March get an extended year's membership.

Mulanje Hut Stores Inventory and Payment Form
When you collect the key to one of the Mulanje hut stores, the key keeper will supply you with a copy of this form, the top half of which (Forestry and Club fees) should be completed before departure. Your party’s number or nights-up may change and these adjustments can be made once you return the hut key and finalise the fees payment. The bottom half of the form is a stores’ inventory for you to complete before leaving the hut.

To help members and visitors remember their responsibilities, we have prepared a one-page summary of do’s and don’ts for when they take a key, visit Mulanje and use the huts and MCM stores. This will be given to members every time they borrow a key, along with the Stores Inventory and Payment Form.
